Some will listen and receive and others will scoff and walk away.
Purpose:
The final painting depicts the choice we choose in accepting or rejecting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
In viewing this group of paintings, we saw Scriptural principles that we need to heed individually as a child of God and as a part of Jesus’ bride ─ the body of believers.
Individuals choose to listen or reject. What do you see depicted in this painting? Those who listened to God’s Word are being fed and cared for as the train runs by them with angels throwing out to them their needs. This group includes current believers and future believers in these end times. The locked-out group reflects those who are rejected completely, those who hear and listen but let the world lead them, and those who say I have plenty of time to accept Jesus. Can you find the individuals who depict the groups? Are you reminded of Jesus’ parable of the sower? What questions spring to your mind as you view the symbolism for each group? How might the symbolism relate to today’s times and future? How does the painting speak to you personally?
It is time we all need to remember the Lord’s word in Isaiah to everyone.
The Lord spoke about His coming in Isaiah 45:21-24 “…and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside me. Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself; the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Surely, shall one say, in the Lord have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. (KJV)
God did bring forth His new covenant in and through Jesus for His Word became flesh to be our sacrificial Lamb. Jesus said in Matthew 26:28, “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” [NIV] Jesus Christ is the only Way.
As you journey through the paintings, did you see the message, the purpose, and the command? Did you think about your own choices and where you might be located if it were you painted within each one of the works? What choices have you made?
Do you regret any choice? What would you be willing to do to correct it? Yet a wonderful gift God sent in His Son, Jesus – forgiveness – all our sins, those bad choices lifted to be remembered no more. Jesus, who died and rose from the grave changed those wrong choices when we accepted Him, the sacrificial Lamb, as our personal Savior.
